Futon is a traditional Japanese bedding. Recently, many Japanese people use beds, but it may seem unusual in some countries to put them out only when they are used and fold them up during the day.
Basically, the inn exchanges sheets for each customer. And I try to dry my futon in the sun on a regular basis. When the weather is nice, you may see the futon being dried like laundry.
布団は日本の伝統的な寝具です。最近はベッドを使う日本人も多くなってきましたが、使う時だけ出し、昼間は畳んで収納するという使い方は、国によっては珍しく思われるかもしれません。
基本的には、宿ではお客さまごとに、シーツの交換を行っています。そして定期的に、布団を天日で干すようにしています。天気の良い日には、布団を洗濯物のように干す光景を見かけるかも知れません。
