[Cucumber] KYURI

It is one of the plants of the Cucurbitaceae family and eats soft immature fruits that are growing. In Japan, about 20 cm is distributed throughout the year, but in Teshima, it is cultivated outdoors, so it can only be harvested from summer to autumn. And if you’re not careful, the fruit will grow too large and you can eat something about 30 cm long.

You can chew it with miso raw, or eat it with salad, sushi (kappa roll), vinegared food, spicy food, salted kneading, etc. When a large amount is harvested, it is used as a material for pickles for preservation. We recommend pickling mustard or soy sauce.
