Han-chan and Hiro-chan make bento boxes using local ingredients. They use seasonal fish and home made vegetables from Teshima, allowing you to enjoy the local flavors throughout the year. Additionally, they use the local sun-dried salt for the fried fish!

豊島に住むはんちゃんとひろちゃんが地産の材料で作るお弁当。お魚やお野菜は豊島でとれる旬のものを使っているので、四季折々で地元の味が楽しめます。また塩唐揚げには、優しい味が特徴のてしま天日塩のお塩を使用。地元の漁師さん、農家さん、塩職人さん、そしてお弁当を作っているはんちゃんとひろちゃんの愛がギュッと詰まったお弁当をぜひ堪能してください♡
Rice Balls Made with Octopus
てしまのタコ飯むすび
Rice balls made with octopus caught by a local fisherman Ikuta-san. He uses traditional octopus traps, which have been passed down through the generations. He uses his experience and intuition, a skill honed over many years as a fisherman on the island to catch octopus.
The fresh octopus caught by Ikuta-san becomes the filling for Han-chan and Hiro-chan’s rice balls. The rice balls, molded by the hands of these two, are incredibly delicious!
It’s a taste you definitely should try at least once! Enjoy the taste in a scenic spot in Teshima and take a bite to savor the flavours along with the beautiful views.
豊島の腕利き漁師、生田さんが獲ったタコで作る、むすび飯。生田さんは昔から代々伝わる「タコつぼ漁」でタコを獲ります。経験と勘を生かした漁法は、島で長年漁師を努めてきたからこそできる技。
生田さんが獲ってきた鮮度の高いタコを、はんちゃんとひろちゃんがおむすびの具にします。二人の手で握ったタコ飯のおむすびがこれまた美味しい！

After bringing the vegetables home, stand together with Han-chan in the kitchen and learn from her years of cooking experience.

Hiyoko Shokudo is a nostalgic diner located in the labyrinthine area known as ‘Meiro no Machi’ (Maze Town) in Shodoshima. In addition to serving set meals, they also accept orders for bento boxes.
