[Squid] IKA

Japanese people often eat squid. Japan is the world’s number one squid consumer, and its consumption is said to be almost half of the world’s annual catch. Even in Teshima, various types of squid are caught throughout the year. The main ones are sepia esculenta, flying squid, and mongowika. There are various cooking methods such as sashimi, tempura, and stir fry.

Nutritionally, it is rich in vitamin E, taurine, and amino acids. It is also rich in useful nutrients such as zinc, DHA, and EPA.
