Until the early 1970s, the telephone in Japan was this “black telephone”. In every house, the phone was this black phone, and in some houses the phone was dressed with white lace.
I rarely see it now, but I think it can still be used because it is very durable and does not require a power source. This phone isn’t connected, though.
1970年代初頭まで、日本で電話と言えばこの“黒電話”でした。どこの家でも、電話と言えばこの電話で、お家によっては電話にレースをあしらった服を着せたりしていました。
今ではほとんど見かけなくなりましたが、大変丈夫で電源を必要としないため、今でも使えると思います。回線はつながってませんが。
